Principal's Message
Wildcats,
I am very blessed to be able to say that I am the principal at Dorton Elementary School. Though I may not be originally from Dorton, I feel as though I am an adoptive son of OUR fine community. I speak for everyone at Dorton Elementary when I say we are so thankful that OUR parents/guardians of OUR students have given us the opportunity to educate their children. We also appreciate everyone's optimism about some of the new safety procedures that were instituted this past school year. After all, it was a community effort in getting OUR new buzzer and camera systems installed.
While student safety is OUR number one priority at Dorton Elementary, because students cannot learn unless they feel safe, we also strive to be the number one school in the county academically and athletically. The easiest way that parents/guardians can help us in achieving OUR goal is by sending your children to school every day. This allows your child to get better grades, improve their reading/math skills, and help them feel more connected to their community. This is just another way that you can help your children have a better chance of graduating high school
Therefore, by working as a close-knit family, as Dorton has for many years, we will be the best school not only in the county, but also in the state. We have great students, a great staff, and by being a great supporter, we will remain a great school.
If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns about your child’s education, please feel free to call or e-mail me to set up an appointment.
GO CATS!!!
