Pike County Area Regional Robotics Tournament
Dorton Elementary School will be hosting the Pike County Area Regional Robotics Tournament again this year. The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tournament winners will advance to the STLP State Showcase to be held on Thursday March 29, 2018, in Lexington, Kentucky at Rupp Arena.

STLP Regional Showcase
The STLP team members recently attended the Regional STLP Showcase at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center. Dorton STLP had three projects advance to the State Showcase.
2017/2018 STLP State Championship
The 2017/2018 STLP State Championship will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
STLP Hour of Code
The STLP team members hosted two Hour of Code classes during the week of December 5, 2017. First graders and third graders at the school earned their certificate for completing an Hour of Code.
STLP Annual Drive
The STLP hosted their Annual Drive to collect items for Judi's Place for Kids during the months of December and January.
